100th Post

I was thinking that I haven't posted in a while so here goes my 100th post of randomness...

This last weekend was super crazy. Saturday morning was the primary activity. It was so fun. The presidency had us all meet in the gym to get with our classes. Then we divided into groups and went to certain stations. I guess I should first mention that this activitiy theme was "Building an Eternal Family" so when I first walked into the gym, I noticed this big paper temple on the wall. All of the kids were given a grey piece of paper to draw a picture of thier family ana a large ziplock. Then we divided into groups and went to different rooms. In the first room, each of the kids wrote a letter (or drew a picture) for someone in thier family that they wanted to say thanks or give appreciation for them.

We then went to the next station where the kids were given little plastic baggies with cookie mix in it. They also learned to play a fun memory game. By this point they have a letter, treat, and a game.

In the next room, there were four tables set up and there was a teacher at each table. Each teacher told a story using pictures on a popcycle stick. Then each child got to pick a table to go too, to color the pictcures and story they chose. the story was put into a plastic bag to put in thier ziplock baggies.

So now they have a letter, treat, game, and story for family home evening. What a great idea!

The next room was a fun activity for the little kids. They learned how to fold a towel, socks, shirt, pants, sweep and clean, and how to cook.

We returned to the gym after this. When we got back to the gym all the pictures of the families that the kids drew at the beginning were up on the big paper temple. They were like the stones of the temple. It really was fun. GREAT JOB PRIMARY!!! YOU ROCK!!

After the primary activity, Gary and I went to Brigham because I had a little baby shower with an old high school friend who I haven't seen in 15 years. We reconnected on facebook and when I got to the party, there were others from school that I got to get reaquainted with. It was fun, but I didn't stay too long. Gary was waiting in the car. We were on our way to the temple.

We went to Ogden Temple. Niether of us have been there for a long while, so it was great. We got there and had lunch in the cafeteria (not the greatest food ever, but what do you do?) . Then we went through a session and then headed up to Rainbow Gardens at the mouth of Ogden Canyon.

Its just a cute little gift shop that has been there for a million years. I hadn't been there for at least ten years. I wanted to see if it was as cool as I remembered. I think it looked bigger and better because I was shorter and had less. There were some pretty cool dishes that I would love to have some time when I can afford $12 a plate.

We didn't get home until almost 8. Saturday was definately an eventful but wonderful day.

Sunday was Kayde and Taryl's baby blessing. Tyson was blessed by Taryl's dad Steve Stanley. He did a really wonderful job and the baby did really well. He is such a good kid.

After we went to the Tanglewood Dance Studio (owned by Taryl's aunt) for lunch. We had to leave early because Gary is on grave shift at work. He had to go home so he could go to work. It was great to have everyone together. We don't have that happen very often, so it was nice. We got home at 4:30 and Gary left at 4:50. I spent the rest of the night on the couch relaxing from the busy weekend.

Last night (Wed) we had someone come look at our house. This is exciting because they are the first ever! I hope they liked it and have an offer for us.

We also have someone coming tonight. I hope this is the start of some busy wonderful days to show and sell the house. I hope it will sell soon!!!!

Congratulations on your 100th post!! Hooray!
I like that you posted about the Primary activity. Jenny G. did an amazing job orchestrating the whole thing! I basically showed up and stood around cluelessly. It's what I'm best at.
Even though we'll be dang sad when you move, I've got my fingers crossed for your house selling!

Wow! I am proud of you for staying so focused on attending the temple. I am afraid with one so close I got into the habit of saying to myself "It will always be there, I can go next week and stay at the baby shower instead." Now we have to make appointments at our little Anchorage Temple so it keeps us a little more scheduled as it should be.
