Washington, its my first time...be nice!

On June 11, Gary and I flew to Seattle/Tacoma Washington for his nephew's wedding. It was the first time that Gary or I had ever been to Washington, so it was a lot of fun. We gawked at the tall trees right in the city...

We had a wedding. It was at the Thornewood Castle that was a beautiful estate (they say that Stephen King's "Red Rose" was filmed there). It was a castle that was moved from England to Washington brick by brick about a hundred years ago. They say that before it was moved it was 400 years old. Anyway, it had a beautiful sunken garden where the wedding was held. The reception then convened in the castle itself. It was like a fairytale.

This is Gary's twin sister Marti and her adorable kids, Brandon and Kasie (KC). They are a lot of fun to be with.

This is Shauna and her kids. Shauna is Gary's very talented younger sister and her beautiful blonde bouquet of bubbly bonnies... he he.

This is the wedding party and one of the little flower girls belongs to Shauna. Its Abby. She has the short blond doo. She loved all the attention that day as she looked almost as beautiful as the bride. She certainly loves being the princess.

On Father's Day, we had to fly home that night. So Marti and John took us to Seattle and we toured the Pike Street Market. It was a lot of fun. Here's a shout out to Marti! Thanks for being such a great photographer. Your the best!

Tiling 101

Gary and I had the opportunity to go the Rexburg to help Shauna and Bryce tile thier bathroom. It was a lot of ... I was going to say fun here, but I think a more accurate discription would be...labor intensive struggle between all the men to get the tile cut and laid. There was Gary, his brother Greg, Bryce, and his dad. I supervised. I am good at that. Anyway, we got it done all in about 7 hours. Where were these guys when Gary and I were doing our floor? It all turned out really pretty. I think if you link over to Bryce and Shauna Williams blog, you can see the finished product. Below are some hilarious pics of the guys doing thier work.

Our Family...

Abby (or Sven, as Gary calls her) is trying out the scooter. She is such a joy to have around. She belongs to Shauna so we only see her when we go to Rexburg, but oh what fun she is...
Kylee and Konnor. They love hanging out with each other. They are the best of friends...
Grandpa Gare... He is so sweet with his little "Poopers". But right now she is a little scared of him. I am not sure why, but its true. Just wait until she can walk and talk.
Poopers only a couple of weeks old. She is so darling!
These are my parents. They are really great to me. My dad is always there to help and lend his truck. He mentioned something about starting a rental company for all of his stuff. I think that is only because everyone keeps borrowing everything. I better get what I need before he starts charging. And today is my mom's birthday. She is truly a great example of patience, kindness, and love. I hope she knows how much we love and care for her!

This is just some of our great family. Its wonderful to have you in our lives. We love you!
