1 More day to thanksgiving...

I know I will not be blogging tomorrow. I am so thankful for all of you. Thanks for being my friend. Thank you for not judgeing me and thanks for loving me for who I am. My life has been full of hopes, disappointments, trials and joys. But knowing that there are friends out there who love me no matter what helps me get through life. I probably sound pretty selfish about a lot of things, but one thing is that I know how to pick great friends. Thank you all. I love you!!!!

Day 2

I must have missed a day somewhere. Anyway, I am thankful for a healthy body that allows me to do (pretty much) what I want. And on that note I am also using this blog to plug the
1st Annual Hyrum 5k.
This started as just me. Then a few showed interest, and now half of the ward is coming as well as some other great friends. Therefore, here is the info in case anyone is interested:

Where: Blacksmith Fork Church, 200 S 1300 E, Hyrum, UT

When: 7:30 AM, Thanksgiving day!

Cost: Donate canned food to the FOOD Pantry. Bring as much as you want!

Why: For the Halibut!

Who: Runners, walkers, stollers, leashes, and anything that doesn't have a motor is welcome to particpate. Also, we could use some cheerleaders if you don't want to run or walk!

What: There may be some refreshements following the run/walk.

Everyone should come! It is going to be a fun party!

3 days 'til Turkey!!!!

I am thankful for my car. I love having the freedom to drive anywhere I want. Especially now that I have a car that gets over 30 MPG. WAHOO!! Anyone in the mood for a Road trip?

Lucky # 7

America is:
It is hard for me to describe what I feel for my country. I remember every Memorial Day going to Malad to their Veteran's program. My uncle was usually in charge of it. I remember feeling grateful and honored to live in a place that had young men who fought for our freedoms, who fought for others' freedoms. They stood for Liberty.
I am grateful for their sacrifice so that I can live the wonderful life I have now full of opportunity, education, religion, and happiness. This is a land of the free, home of the brave and I am proud to be an AMERICAN!

1st Annual 5K-be there or be square

Okay, so I have been trying to train for a 5K. I got the idea from Kim to do my own race. So I am. Because I have had such a response of interest I was debating whether to collect donations for a cause. We could just collect food for the food pantry or collect $$ for something else. What are your ideas?

The race will be held in Hyrum on Thanksgiving Day. I am starting it at 7:30 AM. We will meet at the Blacksmith Fork Church ( 200 S and 1300 E, Hyrum) about 7 AM. There is not really going to be any #'s or specific timing. If you want something like that, it will have to wait 'til next year (just kidding) I think my husband would be willing to time for us. This race is going to be WAY unofficial, but it might be fun to run for a cause.

Also I was thinking of two paths we could take. One would be up the canyon and back (pretty, but cold and slightly harder run due to incline) or into town and back (still cold, not as pretty, but slightly easier as a mostly level run.

Let me know I would love to hear what your ideas are...

9 Days 'til Thanksgiving

I am very grateful for the opportunity to I have to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This truly has been the most profound influence through out the course of my life. A wise man once said "You can be good with out the Gospel. You can live a good life on your own. But, you can be great with the Gospel." I am grateful for temple marriage that binds me to my Gary for eternity.

I know that God lives and that Jesus Christ is His son and the Savior of the World. I know God calls prophets today who are given the keys to lead His children through the troubles of the world.

The Book of Mormon was written for our day and it gives me a power to overcome the temptations that I suffer from.

Joseph Smith was a great man and the prophet that brought the Church out of obscurity and darkness.

For the gift of eternal life and immortality, for this I am eternally grateful.

10 Days of Thanksgiving...

I got this from Hannah's blog. For the next ten days you do a post of one thing you are grateful for. Its always so easy to get caught up in all the things that we don't have or that we aren't that we fail to see the big blessings that we do have and the talents that we do have.

I am first and foremost thankful for my husband Gary. He has been such an amazing support for me. He is truly amazing. He loves me for me and doesn't pressure or push me to change into something or someone else. He thinks I am amazing. He is so kind hearted and forgiving with others as well. He loves his children and grandbaby. He is such a great man. I really could not ask for anyone more perfect for me. Gare dawg! I love you forever!

My husband!

I got this from Di. The rules are posted at the beginning . Each person answers questions about their sweethearts . At the end of the Post, the person then tages 4 people and post their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know they have been tagged. So here it goes...

*What is your husbands name: Gary D. Moore

*How long have you been married? 14 months

*How long did you date? 14 months (not my choice!)

*How old is he? 41

*Who eats sweets? Me. Gary is not a big sweet tooth person, but he makes excellent desert form me.
*Who said I love you first? He did

*Who is taller? Me by an inch.

*Who can sing best? This one is all his. I can carry a tune, but he is preformance quality and I am not even lying. He is a little shy about that though.
*Who is smarter? This is easy, HIM!!

*Who does laundry? Me, always me.
*Who pays bills? We both do. Its not fun. I hate bills.
*Who sleeps on the right side? Me

*Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn. We have rocks. I clean up rocks. That is what I do.

*Who cooks dinner? Gary. He loves doing it more than me.

*Who drives? He always does.

*Who is first to admit they are wrong? Me. We always have these arguments that usually involve me getting all mad about something, he listens but rarely says anything, then I go back a while later and apologize for being all spastic about.
*Who kissed who first? Gary kissed me after the movie on our SECOND date. I was a littel taken back to be sure.

*Who asked who out first? Gary asked me. I didn't really want to go and kept turning him down, but he persisted.

*Who wears the pants? We wear togas at every possible moment we can.

I tag... um, anyone who wants to.

FOR A GREAT CAUSE...

This is today!!!!!!!!
Some of you know Daryl and Ashley Larsen. For those of you who don't, they are a young couple here in Perry, who just lost their baby to a rare lung disorder. Their loss is truly a tragedy. They are now experiencing the beginnings of what will be a land slide of medical bills. In an effort to aide them, there will be a one day fundraiser at the Maddox Steak House. On November 5, you can call Maddox at 723-2916 and order the Turkey Steak dinner. You can choose the 2 or 4 family meal at the regular price. All proceeds will then be donated to the Larsen family. You do need to remember to mention the Larsen family name when ordering. You can then pick up your meal at the take out window in the back of Maddox. It will be for lunch and dinner. Please spread the word. Feel free to copy and paste this post on your blog

In all my randomness....

I started this really fun running program. I know that I was supposed to start that this like in the summer, but now I really have. Its really great and I am really doing it this time. It makes it easy because for every one minute I run, I can walk 2. Its really turning out to be a lot of fun and I feel like I am getting a good work out. I got it off of www.runnersworld.com. This is where I suggest going if you are interested in starting a program.

My big problem is finding quick, easy, cheap, and HEALTHY meals to eat for lunch and dinner. I usually do well in the morning, but by lunch time, my "Mrs. Hyde" comes out and I end up eating more calories than I should. So if any of you have any suggestions, that would be helpful.

I am going to be organizing my own personal 5k run for Thanksgiving. I am not sure that I can run the whole way yet, but I think it will be fun to try. Its just for fun and there is no entry fee. Let me know if you are interested. It will probably take place in Hyrum in the morning this year.

I really had a great day yesterday. It was Sunday. I teach the sunbeams and we talked about being reverent. They are so funny because at the most random times they will just blurt out something like "I got a pink bear for my Birthday" then the whole class will start in on what they got for thier birthday or what they were for halloween or about their cat. It was really fun. Then we came home and it was a rainy day so Gare and I just stayed home and took naps and watched movies. It was great.

Well, thats all the random things I have to talk about. Enjoy your day!
