Kiss the Paper goodbye!!!

So I have been doing a second job for the last month. I had this awesome paper route that would wake me up at 3:30 AM every morning. This was so much fun. I loved getting up and being able to deliver the paper. I would make a game of throwing the paper in a certain spot. Or getting finished by a certain time. It was so much fun. There were very interesting people to meet, like the obituary bandit (the guy at the nursing home who would steal peoples papers!) or the cool people that would give you tips when get to thier house.

However, after the paper job was over, I would have to go to my real all day job and by the time 11:00 AM rolled around, I was like a walking zombie! So, my sweet husband said I could quit if I wanted. So I did. Today, I turned over the paper route to a new news carrier. I feel like a new woman! Its so liberating! I am still going to get up at 6 AM to work out, but now I won't be a zombie. WAHOO!!!!

Quirks?...what the...?

Quirks: A personal mannerism, a sharp turn or corner, a tag from Di to list 6 of the many quirks I have.

1. I, like Diana, feel a sense of accomplishment and gratification of picking zits. Its really gross and leaves a really big nasty scar, but I cannot help it. Who doesn't feel good about cleaning bacteria out of their: face, bathroom, kitchen, etc.

2. I chew my gum really loud. Its embarrassing, but its true. Sometimes, I get looks from people when I have gum. Its much like a cow chewing their cud. I try to be careful, but sometimes my mouth just gets away from me.

3. I always lick my lips then wipe them off then apply the chap stick. It lasts longer and feels better that way.

4. When trying to concentrate on cutting something out, sewing, or painting, my lips always start making weird shapes. Its like my face wants to help use the scissors, needle, or painting with my hands. My old roommates used to love scrapbook night simply for the reason that they could just sit and laugh at my facial expressions while cutting out shapes and cropping pictures.

5. It takes me about a half an hour to make my bed because I have to make it from scratch each time. If you don't do it from scratch, how do you get all the wrinkles out of the sheets. The blankets also have to be completely straight and an even length on each side. I don't mind if the bed is not made, but if it is made it needs to be done right. Everything has to be straight and even.

6. I am a boss. By this I mean that if someone is doing something, and I think of a easier or better way to do it, I have to tell them my way and if they continue doing things their way, then they end up with me trying to help. I have really tried hard to refrain from this, but in recent activities, I have been unable to restrain. Its not that their way wont work, but I just think my way is almost always best. Sad but true. Its okay to feel sorry for my co-workers, I do.

So now you know how it is done,
I tag you, Shan, Amie, and Natalie,
This will be so much fun.

How long has it been...

So I guess it has been forever since I have blogged. I attempted once, but I was trying to do it at work and ended up beening too busy. Anyway, a few things to update you on...

Gary and I decided to heed the prophets counsel and pay off our debts. So we are working two jobs each. Gary got a job as a relief cook at a new little restaurant in Paradise and when it opens I will let you all know, so you can go try it out yourself. He hasn't started on a regular basis, but it is set to open in a week or two. Also, I got a job as a news carrier. At the time this seemed to be the perfect job. I would bring home a grand every month as extra money. We would have our bills paid off in less than a year (wishful thinking). I have been doing this for a couple of weeks and I have already given my notice. The reasons: 1. I have to get up at 3:30 am every morning 7/365. 2. I am cranky or insane due to lack of sleep everyday. 3. My dear sweet husband figured out that the amount of time, gas, and wear on my car that is occuring I am making only 4.50 an hour. So I give up. There you have it. We are trying to work hard to get things paid off, but it will take us a little longer than originally planned.

The next thing I wanted to tell you about is that my mom and I went to "Time Out for Women" in Logan on Friday and Saturday. It was so much fun. It is like women's confrence, but more fun. There were several speakers there. I had the chance to meet: Kenneth Cope, Mary Ellen Edmunds, and Jenny Oaks Baker. The next day we had some marvelous moments with the rest of the line up. Both my mother and I came away rejuvinated and enlightened. I hope everyone has the chance to attend one at least once in their life. Its was great!

Lastly, its my 1 year anniversary today. I need to give a shout out to my wonderful, adoring husband Gary. He is the best man, husband in the whole wide world! Its just down hill from here, right?
